Turkey 2009 - Part 6
When I saw a photo of the theatre at Pergamon, I knew that we were going there. It was surreal!
Looks like downtown Grand Rapids was the place to be during the 100,000 paper airplane drop for Artprize - Photo via briankellyphotoI am down there in the middle of the street
Another Turkey Video! Watch as we meet an unexpected animal friend, hike in sweltering heat, and ride in a dolmus. I pose this question to you: Have you ever visited an ancient temple? If so, which was your favorite? (I also highly reccomend clicking the link through to watch the video in HD!)
In this video we explore the ancient City of Assos/Behramkale and the Temple of Athena. Assos was a stop for the Apostle paul on his third missionary journey as well as the place we had our first encounter with oriental hornets!

This is a shorter video, two longer ones are on their way in the next week or so. I would love to hear your thoughts on these videos, or about the things in them. Ever seen the Ishtar Gate in Berlin? I am constantly hitting myself for not visiting it when I was there.
While looking at what neighborhoods are like in Long Island, I came across Garden City. It reminded me a lot of my neighborhood of Ottawa Hills. All nice big houses built in the 1920’s with tree-lines streets.
Come to Grand Rapids! Live like the doctors and lawyers of New York at a fraction of the cost!
(no seriously, houses here are cheap, even the awesome ones) Move here!
